"Magnum is a community of thought, a shared human quality, a curiosity about what is going on in the world, a respect for what is going on and a desire to transcribe it visually." - Henri Cartier-Bresson

Magnum Photos, founded in 1947 by French photographer Henri Cartier Bresson, is a photographic co-operative of great diversity and distinction owned by its photographer-members.

This event is taking place within the framework of the INDIA PHOTO NOW'08 (IPN'08): A PLATFORM FOR PHOTOGRAPHY IN INDIA. IPN'08 is a federative initiative promoting photography in India. The Embassy of France in India wishes to initiate a platform to encourage new initiatives in this domain.
